Stephen Pleasant, Owner and Director of Bikram Yoga Takoma Park, is a certified Bikram Method Yoga Instructor. Stephen practiced Iyengar Yoga for ten years before discovering Bikram Yoga in 2002. He completed the nine week Bikram Yoga teacher training and certification program in Los Angeles, CA in 2004 and teaches Bikram Yoga in the metro area.
Stephen is a licensed clinical social worker with training in psychotherapy and mind/body/skills group work. He is also a massage therapist, former Peace Corps Volunteer and served six years in the Army Reserves.

Adam Lowell Pearlstein is a primary teacher at Bikram Yoga Takoma Park. Adam took his first Bikram class in Burlington Vermont in the winter and was instantly hooked. So much so he took a class every day for 6 months straight. In the summer of 2004 he attended Bikram Yoga teacher training and is now a certified Bikram instructor. Since graduating Adam has taught in Vermont, DC, California, Canada, South Korea, and the Philippines. Adam brings youthful energy, creativity and a lot of humor to his teaching.
Elizabeth hails from Bethesda, MD and is a veteran of the US Air Force, a world traveler, animal lover and an exquisite “Foodie.” Elizabeth added Bikram yoga to her long list of passions in 2005, and became an instructor fall 2008.
